Calibration methods

Accurate temperature measurements can be obtained by performing a calibration of the measurement thermometer. Two possible approaches to calibration are possible:

-   at the fixed points, as defined in the ITS-90

-   by comparison with a calibrated standard thermometer

Details about calibration can be found in Calibration methods.

Further information related to temperature calibration can be found in Docs & artefacts (see left) - for example, in written standards.
