Events such as conferences, seminars, workshops and tradeshows are an ideal forum to facilitate communication and rapid learning. A more comprehensive listing of events can be found at Events.

Below is a short list of the main events in the field of thermal expansion and density. This list will change from time to time so be sure to check regularly, if interested.

TOFA 2006 - Thermodynamics of Alloys

R. Yu
Beijing, China
The meeting provides an international forum for presentation and discussion of fundamental and practical aspects of the thermodynamics of alloys.
16th Symposium on Thermophysical Properties

D. Friend
30 July -
4 August
Boulder, CO, USA
This well-established symposium is concerned with theoretical, experimental, simulation, and applied aspects of the thermophysical properties of gases, liquids, and solids, including biological systems.
8th Workshop on Subsecond Thermophysics M. Sheindlin Autumn 2007 Karlsruhe, Germany Workshop on the experimental and theoretical aspects of thermophysical behaviour of matter in the millisecond to picosecond time regimes. The meeting will provide opportunities for the exchange of information and ideas between basic and applied researchers, with special emphasis on emerging applications of elastic and inelastic spectroscopies (neutron and synchrotron radiation spectroscopies as well as NMR) to high temperature thermophysics, making it possible to observe previously inaccessible conditions in the bulk and on the surface of materials. The informal workshop atmosphere is intended to promote exchange and cooperation among scientists from academic, government and industrial laboratories with common scientific and technical interests.
